NAFSCOB chairman inspects watershed works and fields
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: Mr Konduru Ravinder Rao, chairman of NAFSCOB, TSCAB and Karimnagar DCCB, formally inaugurated the 15-day training for women SHG members in fabric painting provided by NABARD in association with Idea Rural Development Society (IRDS) in Gajasingavaram village in Gambhiraopet mandal on November 14, 2022.
The training programme was being provided to women SHG members to improve rural livelihood and provide self-employment opportunities by providing bank loans. During the 15-day training, the NABARD provide free food and also provide a stipend of Rs 750 to each women participant.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravinder Rao called upon the womenfolk to utilise the opportunity and upgrade their skills and turn into entrepreneurs by taking bank loans. NABARD AGM P Ananth, DDM P Manohar Reddy, KDCCB CEO N Satyanarayana Rao, PDC resource person G Satyanarayana, village sarpanch Balaraju, IRDS director K Rajalingam, trainer Anitha, coordinator Shivakrishna and others were also present.

The NAFSCOB chairman also visited the Watershed works and changes bought in the village with the revival of the groundwater table and helping the farmers to take up various crops. He inspected the fields where the farmers had taken up marigold fields, chilli, vegetable cultivation and reaping riches. He expressed his happiness over the changes bought in agriculture following the watershed programme.
