NABARD Telangana CGM inaugurates mela to promote SHG businesses in Jagtial
JAGTIAL: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Telangana region Chief General Manager Susheela Chinthala along with NAFSCOB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao inaugurated the three-day (February 4 to 6) district-level SHG exhibition-cum-sale titled “Sadikara mela” 2023 in Jagtial town on Saturday (February 4, 2023).
Speaking on the occasion, the NABARD CGM said that the exhibition was aimed to support women SHG members involved in income generation activities to market their products. She assured to conduct such exhibitions to market their products. The SHG women set up stalls with their stalls including jute bags, dress material, detergents, bathroom cleaners etc.
NAFSCOB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao said that the Karimnagar DCCB would be always in the forefront in the women empowerment activities by extending financial assistance. He said that the NABARD was also providing several employment generation training programmes for the women SHG members NABARD DDMs P Manohar Reddy and P Ananth and others were also present.
Karimnagar milk producer company limited also known as Karimnagar dairy also set up a stall to sell its milk and milk products at the mela. TSCAB chairman Ravinder Rao visited the mela and congratulated the staff. Incidentally, there was good response to the mela with huge turnout by the residents of Jagtial town.
