Emerges as the first corporator to convert his office cum residence into vaccination centre

Motivating people to get vaccinated by visiting each and every house in his municipal division

Vaccination centre works from 10 am to 4 pm till September 23

 

KARIMNAGAR: Even as the district administration had intensified its vaccination drive in the entire Karimnagar district to ensure that all the eligible persons are inoculated, a municipal corporator in the 12th division of the posh Bhagathnagar locality in Karimnagar town had come forward and converted his office-cum-residence for the vaccination programme.

Thota Ramulu, the 12th division TRS corporator, had converted his office cum residence into the centre for the vaccination of the Covid vaccine for the benefit of his voters of his constituency comprising of the Bhagathnagar and other adjoining localities in Karimnagar town. The medical camp for the vaccination of the Covid vaccine started on Friday and there was an overwhelming response with a good turnout of people to get vaccinated.

The municipal corporator with the support of Minister for Civil supplies and BC welfare Gangula Kamalakar and Mayor Y Sunil Rao could establish the vaccination centre in his house. He took the decision to ensure that all his ward residents have vaccinated cent per cent and get protected from the deadly virus. In order to benefit the people of his municipal division, he had set up a vaccination centre at his house and made all arrangements for the smooth conduct of the process.

He said that majority of the residents of his ward were scared to visit the Urban health centre to get vaccinated due to the heavy rush. Similarly, the residents were unable to shell out huge amounts to get vaccines from the private hospitals.

He also informed the residents about the opening of the vaccine centre by sending messages in the WhatsApp groups of the locality. He was also personally informing the people to avail themselves the opportunity and get vaccinated in a comfortable environment without any rush at his residence. He had also personally visited the houses of the people who were not vaccinated and enrolled their names by collecting their Aadhar numbers and bought them to the camp for inoculation.

Stating that the vaccination camp would be made available till September 23, he said that the people from other parts of the town were also visiting and getting vaccinated. He thanked the district medical authorities and the Minister and Mayor for setting up a vaccination centre at his house to benefit the people.
