Minister launches Bala Rakshak vehicle in Karimnagar

Children and girls were told to dial Childline 1098 for assistance
KARIMNAGAR: Minister for Civil Supplies and BC Welfare Gangula Kamalakar along with Mayor Y Sunil Rao, Collector RV Karnan and others had formally flagged off the Bala Rakshak vehicle at the Collectorate office premises in Karimnagar town on Monday.
The state government introduced a total of 33 Bala Rakshak vehicles in the state by providing vehicle to each district. The Bala Rakshak vehicle would rush to the spot and rescue the children and adolescent girls when in trouble. The children and adolescent girls were informed to call Childline 1098 for securing all assistance.
The Bala Rakshak vehicles were introduced by the government to provide protection to the children in need of time. The rescued children and girls would be rehabilitated by the district authorities concerned. Children welfare committee chairperson Dhanalaxmi, members Kalinga Shekhar, Vijay Radha, District Welfare Officer V Padmavathi, CDPOs K Sabitha, Umarani, Kasturi, Childline district coordinator Sampath, incharge DCPO Shantha and others were also present.
