MIM distributes Ramzan prayer material to Muslims lodged in Karimnagar jail

KARIMNAGAR: The MIM Karimnagar district has handed over Ramzan prayer materials to the Karimnagar District Jail authorities to be distributed among the Muslim jail inmates for the conduct of month-long fasting as part of the Ramzan festival.

The MIM leaders led by its town president Syed Ghulam Ahmed Hussain, district secretary Barkat Ali and former Deputy Mayor Md Abbas Sami handed over Ramzan prayer material such as prayer mats, Tasbeeh, prayer caps and Holy Quran to 20 Muslim jail inmates to the Jail superintendent G Sammaiah.
Mr Sammaiah said that they were making all arrangements for the Muslims lodged in jail to undertake Roza for a period of one month. MIM leader Ghulam Ahmed said that they would be distributing daily fruits for the iftar for the Muslims in the jail.
Expressing concern over the Muslims being lodged in jail due to non-payment of fines imposed by the court, the MIM leader said that the party would pay the fine amount and ensure the release of the inmates. Jailers P Srinivas and B Ramesh, MIM corporators Mohd Akhil Feroze, Mohd Sharfuddin, Muqadhar Hussain Ali Baba, Azar Dabeer and others were also present.
