MCK to spend Rs 2 crore for Bathukamma celebrations
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 21, 2023: The Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar has decided to spend Rs 2 crore for the Saddula Bathukamma celebrations including immersion in various parts of Karimnagar town on Sunday.
The MCK authorities have decided to provide all arrangements for Bathukamma celebrations in all the 60 municipal divisions by providing illuminations to play the festivities. Besides, they had also identified 21 immersion points at LMD and other locations and deployed 63 professional swimmers at the rate of three swimmers at each immersion point to avoid any untoward incident.
Accordingly, Municipal Commissioner B Srinivas visited the Bathukamma playing grounds in various parts and inspected the arrangements such as lighting. He called upon the people to celebrate the Bathukamma festivities happily as they made all arrangements for the smooth conduct of festival by providing all arrangements for the womenfolk at the playing ground and immersion points on the shores of LMD reservoir.
