Karimnagar’s RRR campaign fetches award on World Environment Day celebrations
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 5, 2023: The Karimnagar Municipal Corporation’s Reduce, Reuse and Recycle (RRR) campaign has fetched the award from the state government on the occasion of World Environment day celebrations on Monday.
Municipal Commissioner Sewa Islavath received the award from Minister for Animal Husbandry T Srinivas Yadav and Minister for Endowments A Indrakaran Reddy, retired Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Special Chief Secretary Rajath Kumar, TSPCB member secretary Neethu Kumari Prasad, Director general of EPTRI Vani Prasad at a programme in Hyderabad.
As part of the campaign of ‘Meri Life Meri Swach Shahar”, the MCK had set up RRRs in 60 municipal divisions for the proper segregation of waste generated from the households to ensure zero waste ecosystem by making wealth from the waste with citizens refurbishing old items for reuse.
