Karimnagar DCCB centenary fete conducted on a grand-scale

KARIMNAGAR: The centenary celebration of Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) was celebrated on a grand scale in Karimnagar town on Tuesday.

The celebrations began with the hoisting of the cooperative flag on the DCCB administrative building in Karimnagar town. Later, the dignitaries had unveiled the pylon as part of the centenary celebrations.

The main function was organised at the Padmanayaka kalyana mandapam which was presided over by KDCCB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao, who is also chairman of TSCAB and NAFSCOB. The celebrations began with the screening of a documentary film on the Karimnagar DCCB and its performance and winning accolades all over the country and emerging as a role model. The DCCB had also felicitated former DCCB chairpersons and eminent co-operators of the country.

On this occasion, the dignitaries released the DCCB calendar and diary. NABARD chairman Dr Govinda Rajulu Chinthala had launched the Mobile app and IMPS service of the bank to attract the younger generation. The Karimnagar DCCB had emerged the first cooperative bank in the Telangana state to launch digital mobile banking services to provide 24×7 banking service even on holidays.

A galaxy of personalities including Minister for Social Welfare Koppula Eshwar and Minister for Civil Supplies and BC Welfare Gangula Kamalakar, TS planning board vice chairman B Vinod Kumar, legislators M Sanjay Kumar and Rasamayi Balakishan, ZP chairpersons of Karimnagar, Jagtial, Rajanna-Sircilla and Peddapalli and others attended.

NABARD chairman Dr Govinda Rajulu Chinthala, eminent co-operators of the country viz KRIBHCO chairman and International Cooperative Alliance-Asia Pacific president Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, IFFCO chairman Dileep Sanghani, NAFED chairman Dr Bijender Singh and its vice chairman Dr Sunil Kumar Singh, NCARDB chairman Sivadasan Nair, NAFSCOB managing director Bhima Subramanyam, all districts DCCB chairpersons and CEOs, PACS presidents and CEOs and others.

On this occasion, all the board members of NAFSCOB had also arrived in Karimnagar town participate in centenary celebrations of DCCB and also attended the first of its kind board meeting in Karimnagar town.
