Karimnagar Dairy pays rich tributes to PV on his birth anniversary

KARIMNAGAR: Rich tributes were paid to former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao on the occasion of his 101st birth anniversary in Karimnagar town on Tuesday.

Ch Rajeshwar Rao, chairman, Karimnagar Milk Producer Company Limited also known as Karimnagar Dairy, garlanded the statue of Mr Narasimha Rao on the premises of the Dairy. Incidentally, the Karimnagar Dairy was the first to install the statue of former Prime Minister on its premises in the integrated Karimnagar district.

On this occasion, Mr Rajeshwar Rao recollected the services of Mr Narasimha Rao for the development of the country through his economic reforms. Hailing the former Prime Minister as ‘Chanakya’, he said Mr Rao gave new direction to the country by reviving Indian economy from the brink of collapse and set it on par of recovery.

As the Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh state, Mr PV initiated land reforms that helped uplift of dalits to a large extent. Directors M Prabhakar Rao, M Sathu Prakash Reddy and T Swamy Reddy, dairy managing director P Shankar Reddy, Advisor V Hanumantha Reddy, marketing manager Rajashekhar Reddy and others were also present.
