Karimnagar Dairy Chairman receives Ugadi Puraskar from All-India Velama Association
KARIMNAGAR: Karimnagar Milk Producer Company Limited chairman Ch Rajeshwar Rao received the Ugadi Puraskar from All-India Velama Association on the occasion of Ugadi celebrations in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
At function organised at Himayathnagar in Hyderabad on Wednesday evening, Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao presented the Ugadi puraskar to Mr Rajeshwar Rao and felicitated him for his relentless service for the development of dairy in the erstwhile Karimnagar district. It may be recalled that the Karimnagar Dairy was progressing on all fronts under the leadership of Mr Rajeshwar Rao. He had converted the loss-making dairy into the number dairy in the Telangana state by introducing several welfare schemes to the milk producing farmers and the mulching animals. He was also instrumental in launching several milk products and increased the sales of the Karimnagar dairy milk and milk products by opening dairy parlours across the Telangana state.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister for Panchayat Raj lauded the services of Karimnagar Dairy Rajeshwar Rao for encouraging the farmers to take up dairy units as alternate source of income along with agriculture. He appreciated the Dairy chairman for launching several innovative welfare schemes for the milk producing farmers and launching several new products to attract the customers.
All-India Velama Association (AIVA) president Dr Krishnamaneni Papa Rao, vice presidents Tandra Srinivasa Rao, Niligiri Diwakar Rao and Gona Srilatha, general secretary Puskuri Srikanth Rao, treasurer Cheplaya Harish Rao, organizing secretaries Vaddepalli Damodar Rao, Nadipelli Venkateshwar Rao and Kotla Veena and former president and MLC Tanaparthi Bhanu Prasad Rao and others were also present.
The other awardees include; Dr Palepu Narsing Rao, Ileni Sanjeeva Rao, Chief Engineer Panchayat Raj department, Dr Kadari Kishan Rao, former president of Telangana hospitals and nursing homes association (TANA), Takkalapalli Dayakar Rao, retired professor Kakatiya university, Gona Vishnuvardhan Rao, retired joint registrar, Marneni Varada Rajeshwar Rao, CREDAI former CEO and Madhuvaram Ranga Rao, former president of AIVA.
