Karimnagar Dairy chairman receives Gandhi Seva Puraskar award
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 02, 2023: Karimnagar Dairy chairman Ch Rajeshwar Rao was presented with Gandhi Seva Puraskar award for the year 2023 by the Gandhi Club of Karimnagar associated with the Gandhi Clubs international on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 154th birth anniversary celebrations on Monday.
Mr Rajeshwar Rao had won accolades for his crusade in launching milk revolution by motivating the farmers to take up dairy units along with agricultural operations for helping the farmers to secure assured additional income along with farm activities. He is also instrumental in making the loss-making Karimnagar Dairy to emerge as the number one dairy in the Telangana state in terms of milk procurement and sales. He had also launched several welfare schemes for the milk producing farmers and their family members and also for the welfare of milking animals.
Similarly, Alphores educational institutions chairman V Narender Reddy was also presented with Gandhi seva puraskar-2023 for his services in the field of education sector in the Telangana state. Mr Narender Reddy established the Alphores educational institutions and stopped the migration of students to Andhra and other regions for higher education. He was instrumental in guiding several students secure admissions in IITs, NITs, medical colleges and more.
A representative of a voluntary organization Chakilam Swapna was also presented with the award. Gandhi club Telangana state president J Raghunandhan Rao, district president Tatikonda Bhaskar, secretary Tada Veera Reddy and others were also present. Earlier, the organisers and awardees paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and cut the birthday cake.
