JITS distribute clay idols to spread message of eco-friendly Ganesh chathurthi celebrations

KARIMNAGAR: In order to spread the message of eco-friendly Ganesh chathurthi celebrations, the Jyothismathi institute of technology and sciences (JITS) had distributed clay idols to the students, parents and faculty members on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Wednesday.

JITS chairman J Sagar Rao distributed over 300 clay idols on the occasion and said the move was to ensure that the lakes and tanks were not polluted with Plaster of Paris idols that were not easily soluble. He said that the paint on PoP idols claims the lives of several fish in water bodies.
He informed the students to worship Lord Ganesha to remove all obstacles and gain knowledge and bring reputation to their parents and the college by excelling in their chosen career. Academic Advisor Dr PK Vaishali, incharge T Praveen Kumar, humanities HoD K Prasanna Latha and others were also present.
