Jagtial based PMLU gets global union recognition

 

JAGTIAL: The Building and Woodworkers International (BWIT), a global organisation has recognised the Jagtial based Pravasi Mitra Labour Union (PMLU) and given membership for its activities including fighting for the rights of the Gulf immigrants.

The BWIT was formd 351 trade unions of 127 countries with a membership of 1.2 crore and having regional offices in India, Malaysia, South Africa, Kenya, Russia, Peru, Brazil etc.

At the recently held board meeting in Genewa, the BWIT had accepted the application of PMLU. On this occasion, PMLU president Swadesh Pirikipandla said that they had registered the trade union under Indian trade union act of 1926. He thanked the support provided to their organisation by Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy, international trade union leader Manda Bheem Reddy, former ambassador BM Vinod Kumar, Gulf JAC state president G Ravi Goud and others.
