Inter-district polytechnic students sports meet at JITS from Dec 20 to 22

KARIMNAGAR: The stage is all set for the District level inter-polytechnic sports and games-2021 on the sprawling premises of the Jyothismathi institute of technology and sciences (JITS) on the outskirts of Karimnagar from December 20 to 22.

The tournaments would be inaugurated by Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana Rao along with Karimnagar Rural ACP Vijaya Saradhi , District Sports Development Officer K Raja Veeru and others on Monday morning at 9.30 am. A total of 967 students including  546 boys and 421 girls from 19 different polytechnic colleges of both the government and private would participate in various events during the three-day sports meet.

The sports events would be conducted in kabaddi, volleyball, kho-kho, shuttle badminton, table tennis, chess and athletics. The college authorities had spruced up the grounds and also indoor stadiums for organising the sports events successfully, according to JITS chairman J Sagar Rao and polytechnic college principal KS Rao, here today.
