Inter-district polytechnic college students’ games meet begins at JITS

KARIMNAGAR: The three-day District level inter-polytechnic sports and games-2021 got off to a colourful start on the sprawling premises of the Jyothismathi institute of technology and sciences (JITS) on the outskirts of Karimnagar on Monday.

Karimnagar Rural ACP Vijaya Saradahi, DSDO K Raja Veeru alongwith JITS chairman J Sagar Rao, Principal K Srinivas Rao and others participated in the inauguration of sports events by releasing the balloons into the air. Speaking on the occasion, the speakers have stressed on the importance physical fitness for overall personality of the student community.

They informed the students to accord priority for the sports along with education to become physically and mentally fit and also stay healthy. A total of 967 students including 546 boys and 421 girls from 19 different polytechnic colleges of both the government and private of the integrated Karimnagar district were participated in various events. Games organizing secretary R Venkateshwar Rao, convenor Ch Sujan Rao, LMD SI Pramod Reddy and others were also present.
