KARIMNAGAR: Karimnagar RDO N Ananda Kumar has expressed dismay over the encroachment of the government land worth over Rs 50 crore in the survey number 53 in collusion with the Revenue, Registrations and Land Survey authorities in Kharkhanagadda locality in the heart of Karimnagar town.
Responding to the news item “TRS leaders urge Collector to protect govt land from encroachment in Kharkhanagadda in Karimnagar” published on this website on Wednesday, the Karimnagar RDO visited the spot following the instructions of Collector RV Karnan to assess the situation. The TRS leaders Edla Ashok, Arsha Mallesham, M Ashok Rao and others visited the spot and informed the RDO about the encroachment with necessary documentary evidence.
Expressing shock over the encroachment of precious government land, the RDO said that he would constitute a committee and conduct a thorough inquiry and take necessary action against the officials involved in the encroachment of government land by creating documents and registrations. He assured to protect the government, which is spread over 65 acres including the Agricultural marketyard, government science college, burial ground etc.
The RDO also assured the TRS leaders that the government land would be protected at any cost. The TRS leaders thanked the district administration for the prompt response and urged the authorities to take necessary action against the persons involved in the encroachment of government land.
