Harish Rao flays Rahul Gandhi for visiting Telangana state

PEDDAPALLI: Minister for Finance and Health Mr T Harish Rao has slammed AICC leader Rahul Gandhi for visiting Telangana state without any reason and for making politics.

What great thing he had done for Telangana and visiting the state, he asked.

Talking to newsmen after inaugurated the MCHC hospital in Peddapalli town on Wednesday, Mr Harish Rao said that wherever Rahul Gandhi visit’s the Congress party is completely wiped out. The national party of Congress had come down to small regional party, he said and flayed the Congress party for forging alliance with TDP, which had opposed the Telangana state, during the last elections.

Launching a tirade against the BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, he asked when the Union government would fill up 15.62 lakh posts in the Centre. He said that the BJP president was unable to speak a word as the Telangana government was recruiting over 90,000 posts. He said that there were only power cuts, shortage of fertilizers, farmers’ woes during the Congress regime. He asked whether the Congress government in any state was providing free power to the farmers.

The opposition parties ridiculed the execution of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, he said and added that the TRS government had completed the project within three and half years. He said that food grain production was only 99 lakh metric tonnes during the Congress regime and now it had crossed 2.59 crore metric tonnes.

Minister for Social Welfare Koppula Eshwar claimed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was solving all the problems of the Telangana state. The government had solved the power and irrigation sources issues and now focussing on education and health, he stated. He said that the government had sanctioned medical college for each and every district in the Telangana state.
