KARIMNAGAR, MAY 29, 2023: It was an emotional reunion of nine-year-old girl child with her biological parents after seven years after separation and even reunited her estranged parents with her reentry into the family in Karimnagar town on Monday.
Official sources said that Aksha, who was two-years-old, was separated from her mother Dokra from Anthervedi village of Sakineti mandal in Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh state. She was taken away by her father Ravikumar following dispute with his wife. Ravikumar took her to Pune and stayed there. Later, he performed second marriage with a woman from Eklaspur village of Saidapur mandal in Karimnagar town through a matrimonial.
After sometime, the woman came to her native village in Eklaspur village along with Aksha. Once, Aksha complained of a ear problem and approached RMP for treatment. He found suspicion over her language and slang of speaking and suspected that girl was not the daughter of the woman. He took the picture of the girl and posted on social media.
The ICDS and Childline authorities responded to the social media and rescued the girl and shifted her to Balasadan a month ago. Later, they traced her father and biological mother from Andhra Pradesh state. The estranged couple again reunited with the girl after seven years.
On Monday evening, Collector RV Karnan handed over the girl to the couple and informed the girl to study hard. He also presented her with chocolates, pens and books and blessed her. He appreciated the authorities for striving hard to reunite the girl with her parents after seven years.
District Welfare officer Sandhya Rani, Child welfare committee chairperson Dhanalaxmi, members Rendla Kalinga, Radha, Archana, Vijay, DCPO Shantha, Child helpline coordinator Sampath, ICDS social worker Ramesh, Child helpline team Kumar, the girl’s parents Dokra and Ravikumar and others were also present.
