Fit India Freedom run 2.0 organised in Adilabad

ADILABAD: As part of Azadi ka Amrith Mahotsav to commemorate 75 years of Independence, a Fit India Freedom run 2.0 was organised in Adilabad town on Tuesday.
Additional Collector Rizwan Basha Sheik had formally flagged off the run at the Indira Priyadarshini stadium in Adilabad and also participated in the two–kilometer run along the sports-lovers and youth.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rizwan called upon all sections of society to allocate time for physical exercises and walking to keep fit mentally and physically. Walking and jogging keep a person healthy, he said and appealed to the people to spend at least one hour for physical exercise such as walking. District youth welfare officer Venkateshwarlu, tribal welfare department PET officer Parthasaradhi, coach Govardhan and others participated in the programme.
