KARIMNAGAR: It’s a rude shock to the ruling TRS as the Election Commission had instructed the government to stop the implementation of the Dalit bandhu scheme in the Huzurabad assembly segment till the completion of by-elections to the segment on October 30.
Following the complaints, the Election Commission had instructed the Chief Electoral Officer to defer the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) covering the Dalit bandhu in the Huzurabad assembly segment in all its forms till the completion of by-elections on October 30. The EC had also instructed the CEO to submit the compliance report by 2 pm on Tuesday.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had launched the ambitious Dalit bandhu scheme in Huzurabad assembly segment on a pilot basis on the eve of by-elections to the segment. He announced the distribution of Rs 10 lakh to each dalit beneficiary under the scheme.
