Dr Chandra Pal Singh first Indian to become ICA-AP president

KARIMNAGAR: Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, chairman, KRIBHCO, has become the first Indian to become the president of International Cooperative Alliance – Asia-Pacific (ICA-AP) in the elections conducted recently in Seoul in South Korea.
At a programme organised on the premises of National Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks (NCARDB) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat state on Sunday, the eminent co-operators of the country had felicitated Dr Yadav for being elected as the president of ICA-AP and bringing reputation to the country.
National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) president Dr Dileep Sanghani, NAFED (National agriculture cooperative marketing federation) chairman Dr Bijendra Singh, Biscouman (Bihar state cooperative marketing union) chairman Dr Sunil Kumar Singh, NAFSCOB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao, NCARDB chairman K Sivadasan Nair and others participated in the programme.
On this occasion, the NCARDB had organised a seminar stressing on the need to make the cooperatives more vibrant to attract the youth into its fold by adopting new technologies to meet the expectations of the present generation.
