DPRO placed under suspension in Rajanna-Sircilla

RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: In a strange incident, Collector Anuraag Jayanthi has suspended District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) G Venkataramana on the charges of non-compliance of orders and dereliction of his legitimate duties.
According to an official release here, the DPRO had failed to circulate the news clippings of the adverse news published in daily news papers even after issuance of instructions by the Collector. The DPRO also left Hyderabad without informing the Collector and he even did not responded to the phone call which shows non-compliance of the instructions of the Collector and failure in discharge of his duties.
Accordingly, the Collector placed the DPRO under suspension and instructed him not to leave Sircilla town without obtaining prior permission. The suspension of DPRO was also informed to the Commissioner of Information and Public Relations department Hyderabad.
