Doctor provides financial assistance to Covid victim family

KARIMNAGAR: In a noble gesture, IMA state president elect Dr BN Rao has handed over financial assistance of Rs 20,000 to the bereaved family members of a Covid-19 victim in Arundhati nagar, Kharkhanagadda locality in Karimnagar town on Monday.
When the local municipal corporator Kamsala Srinivas informed the plight of the Covid victim family members, Mr Rao responded instantly and personally handed over Rs 20,000 financial assistance. Covid victim Konkati Sharada succumbed to the virus during the second wave in Karimnagar town.
Her husband Komuraiah a rickshaw-puller suffered paralysis and remained in the house. She was having two minor children including a girl and boy. In order to eke out a living, she was working in a private hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to the virus displacing the family forcing them into abject poverty.
The doctor assured financial support for the education of the minor children and other assistance to the family whenever required. The local residents thanked the assistance of the doctor.
