District level chess competitions held in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR: The District level chess tournament for under 17 years boys and girls were conducted at Blue Bells high schools by the Genius Chess Academy in Karimnagar town on Sunday.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by the Blue Bells school chairman Janga Sunitha Manohar Reddy and Rangineni Naveen by moving the pawns of the first game. State Chess academy vice president Gaddala Srinivas, Genius Chess academy director Kankati Kankaiah, chess advisor Kankati Anoop and others were also present.
A total of 60 players participated in the competitions. The winners of under 17 category include; Ch Shaunak, S Varun Tej, G Megha Samhitha, B Varun Sai and K Laxmidhar. In Under 11 years boys category; Vishwa Vijwal S and M Manish, the girls’ category; K Sadhana and K Srihitha.
The winners of under 13 boys; T Vishal and Ashishkanth, the girls; B Sussaina. The under 15 boys; G Vishnu Chandra and B Rathnam, the girls. The under 17 boys include; B Natraj and G Varunkalyan, the girls include; G Sri Varshini and V Sathvika. The consolation prize to K Varshavardhan from social welfare school.
