Vigilance awareness week programmes from Oct 26 to Nov 1 at Singareni
PEDDAPALLI: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) General Manager (coordination) K Suryanarayana said that Singareni is giving top priority for transparency to check corruption through the digitalisation of all services.
Launching the Vigilance awareness week celebrations at Singareni bhavan in Hyderabad on Tuesday, he said that the company was taking up the only digital form of transactions for the coal sales and transportation to avoid any irregularities and ensure transparency in its services. Stating that the country would progress only when there was no corruption, he stressed the need for creating awareness among the people and fighting against the evils of corruption for a better society.
He said that encouraging corruption and remaining silent after seeing corruption was also a crime. The Singareni had launched the Vigilance cell in its organisation in 1987 and organising vigilance awareness week programmes to create awareness against corruption and encourage the employees to participate in essay writing competitions.
SCCL Coal mines officers association general secretary SV Rajashekhar Rao called upon all employees to work with integrity and fight against corruption. Communications officer Gunashankar Pujari, GM (estates) Venkateshwar Reddy, GM (strategical planning) G Surender, Administrative manager N Bhaskar and others were also present.
On this occasion, the Singareni bhavan employees took a pledge to fight against corruption. The Vigilance awareness week celebrations would be organised from October 26 to November 1.
