BIRD director advises KDCCB officials to invite Union Minister for Cooperation Amit Shah and World Ban team to study the success mantra of the bank

Informs KDCCB to set up a training centre to train the visiting cooperative officials during their exposure visits

 

KARIMNAGAR:  Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow Director Shankar A Pande was all praise for the Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) for emerging as the best cooperative bank in the country by adopting the best practices in the cooperative banking sector and also the PACS.

The corporate governance, diversification of business activities and use of technology has made the Karimnagar DCCB number one cooperative bank in the country, he stated.

The BIRD Director made a visit to the Karimnagar district on Wednesday to inspect the functioning of DCCB in Karimnagar town and the Sultanabad PACS. On this occasion, he said that ‘the Karimnagar DCCB is a turning point of the cooperative banking sector in the country. There is every reason as to why the cooperative bank cannot surge ahead for another 100 to 200 years and serve the rural people and the poorer sections’.

He informed the Karimnagar DCCB authorities to set up a training centre in Karimnagar district so that the other cooperative banking officials visiting on exposure visits to the bank to learn the success mantra would be trained about the best practices being adopted in Karimnagar DCCB. Stating that he was enlightened by the speech of NAFSCOB, TSCAB and DCCB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao, he said that he was very much inspired by the visit to TSCAB and its Cyber security centre (C-SOC) and Cooperative training institute (CTI), Karimnagar DCCB and PACS.

He said that he would make it a point to talk about the success mantra of Karimnagar DCCB and its PACS during his meetings at BIRD to all the cooperative officials during their visit and training programmes. Lauding the computerisation of all PACS in Karimnagar district, he was all praise for the bank team leader and CEO N Satyanarayana Rao and his spirited staff to achieve the desired goals. He also advised the bank officials to invite Union Minister for Cooperation Amit Shah and the World Bank team to study the best practices of KDCCB.

DCCB chairman K Ravinder Rao said that the KDCCB had achieved milestones and emerged as role model in the country only because of team work under the leadership of the CEO and the support of the management and PACS. He assured to move ahead with robust and make new revolutions in the cooperative sector.  Director V Mohan Reddy, CEO N Satyanarayana Rao, NABARD DDMs P Ananth and P Manohar Reddy, PACS development centre resource person G Satyanarayana, bank general managers Prabhakar Reddy Padmavathi and others were also present.
