Congress stages Satyagraha Deeksha in Manthani over Rahul Gandh’s disqualification
PEDDAPALLI: The Congress leaders in Manthani assembly segment participated in a satyagraha Deeksha at Ambedkar chowk in Manthani town on Wednesday flaying the BJP government for disqualifying Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and serving orders to vacate from his official residence.
Manthani legislator D Sridhar Babu and other Congress leaders participated in the programme. The Manthani bar association and the CPI-M leaders have extended solidarity to the satyagraha deeksha to save democracy.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sridhar Babu alleged that the BJP government was scared of the growing popularity of Rahul Gandhi following the success of ‘Bharath Jodo yatra’ and resorting to undemocratic acts and disqualified him from the parliament. He launched a scathing attack against the BJP government for resorting to vendetta politics.
