Congress demands Gangula to resign for development of Karimnagar in ensuing for by-elections

There would be more development of Karimnagar segment in the wake of by-elections

People would get ‘buffaloes, sheep, dalit bandhu, ration cards, pensions, double bedroom houses etc

TRS government remembers people only during by-elections

 

KARIMNAGAR: The Karimnagar City Congress Committee activists have staged a novel protest demanding the Karimnagar legislator and Minister for Civil Supplies Gangula Kamalakar to resign to his post so that the people of the segment would get ‘buffaloes, sheep, dalit bandhu, pensions, ration cards’ and development during the ensuing by-elections.

The Congress activists led by its City president Komatireddy Narender Reddy, party leaders V Anjan Kumar, SA Mohsin, Gundati Srinivas, Uppari Ravi, Charla Padma and others assembled at Indira chowk in Karimnagar town on Saturday and staged dharna carrying placards urging the legislator to resign to that by-elections would come and segment would be flooded with funds and the people would get benefitted.

Speaking the occasion, Mr Narender Reddy said that the state government reacts to the peoples’ plight only during the by-elections as it was evident in the Huzurabad assembly segment after resignation of sitting legislator and former Minister Etala Rajender. In the wake of by-elections, the state government was showering several sops to the people of the constituency, he said and added that the people of Huzurabad were lucky as they were everything they sought following the by-elections.

Appealing the Karimnagar legislator to resign for the cause of development of the segment, he also appealed to all elected representatives such as municipal corporators, ZPTC members, MPTCs, MPPs sarpanches to demand the Minister to resign to get more funds to the constituency and allround development of all sections of society.

If the local legislator resigns, the people of the constituency would get whatever they want, he said and added that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao would also personally call all the elected representatives and give lots of funds. He said that the TRS government remembers the people only during the by-elections.
