Collector inspects enumeration of beneficiaries for Dalit bandhu scheme in Huzurabad

KARIMNAGAR: Collector RV Karnan has personally inspected the door to door survey work being carried out for the enumeration of beneficiaries and implementation of the Telangana Dalit bandhu scheme by visiting various villages in the Huzurabad assembly segment on Saturday.

The government had ordered the door to door survey work for the identification of beneficiaries from Friday onwards. The authorities had also deployed the survey officials lead by the district officers of various departments. The officials during the survey were inquiring about the interest trade chosen by the beneficiaries for their economic empowerment.
The Collector visited various localities in the Huzurubad town and visiting the houses of the dalits and interacted with them and inquired about their living conditions and their ambitions. With regard to the Dalit bandhu scheme financial assistance of Rs 10 lakhs, he informed the beneficiaries to select the unit which would provide them instant and regular financial support for their economic empowerment.
He also visited the Jammikunta town and Venkateshwarapalli and Kothapalli villages and inspected the houses of the dalits and interacted with them by sitting along with them on the floor. He appealed to the beneficiaries to select the profitable units for their upliftment and assured of all assistance from the government. RDO Ravinder Reddy, Cluster officers including district agriculture officer V Sreedhar, district marketing officer Padmavathi, district cooperative officer Srimala and others were also present.
