CM to visit Karimnagar district to assess crop damages on March 22

KARIMNAGAR:  Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is planning to visit Karimnagar district to inspect the hailstorm-affected fields in the Choppadandi assembly segment on Wednesday (March 22).

According to sources, the Chief Minister would be visiting Laxmipur and Chippakurthi villages where the hailstorm caused extensive damage to the standing crops including paddy, musk melon, mango and other crops. The police officials also rushed to the villages and review the security arrangements and deployment of bandobust.

As a prelude to the Chief Minister’s visit, TS Planning Board Vice Chairman B Vinod Kumar and Choppadandi legislator Sunke Ravishankar along with Collector RV Karnan and other officials and non-officials visited various villages of the segment to assess the crop damages and consoled the farmers. They assured the farmers of assurance from the government and not to get disheartened due to natural calamities.
