Celestial wedding of Lord Shiva and Parvathi held at Alphores school
KARIMNAGAR: The celestial wedding of Lord Shiva with his consort Goddess Parvathi was performed with religious fervour and gaiety by the Alphores educational institutions at Alphores e-techno school in Kothapalli on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on December 6, 2022.
As part of the kalyanotsavams, the Alphores school was colourfully decorated with flowers, banana and mango leaves. Hundreds of devotees wearing Ayyappa Swamy mala and others participated and witnessed the ritual of celestial wedding amid chanting of Vedic hymns and slogans of ‘Hara hara mahadeva, ‘hara hara shankara’ etc.
Priests have depicted the celestial wedding of presiding deities of Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy devasthanam in Vemulawada at the Alphores school. The priests had also organised a procession of the Gods on the campus. Alphores educational institutions chairman V Narender Reddy and his family members participated in the rituals.
