Singareni donates Rs 15 lakhs for installation of 32 CCTV cameras

 

JAGTIAL:  Superintendent of Police Sndhu Sharma on Thursday formally inaugurated 32 CCTV cameras installed in different locations of Metpally police station limits from the control room of the police station.

The 32 CCTV cameras were provided by the Singareni collieries company limited as part of its corporate social responsibility and donated Rs 15 lakhs for the purpose. The SP thanked the Singareni chairman and managing director N Sridhar for taking part in the mission of prevention and detection of crime by donating CCTV cameras.

On this occasion, the SP said that the main objective of installation of CCTV cameras was the crime prevention by close surveillance and also detection of specific crimes. She said that it was proven that areas where the CCTV cameras were installed witnessed reduction of number crimes and appealed to the people to install the CCTV cameras for safety and security at offices and houses.

She also said that the installation of CCTV cameras on the national highways and other roads would also ensure the detection of accidents and take appropriate measures to prevent recurrence of accidents on the roads. Metpally DSP Ghouse Baba, inspector Srinu, SIs Sadakar, Rajunaik, Raja Prameela and others were also present.
