BSP president demands CBI inquiry into TSPSC recruitments conducted in 2016 as majority of Telangana Jagruthi members secured jobs

HYDERABAD: Alleging large-scale irregularities in the conduct of TSPSC group-I examination in the year 2016, former IPS officer and BSP Telangana state president Dr RS Praveen Kumar has demanded a CBI inquiry into the conduct of examination as majority of Telangana Jagruthi members secured employment ‘illegally’.

He alleged that Rajashekhar Reddy, who was arrested in the TSPSC group-I question paper leakage case of 2023, was also arrested and sent to jail when Ganta Chakrapani was the chairman of TSPSC. He charged that the TSPSC group-I question papers were sold like vegetables in the ‘monda market; by the ruling party leaders. He alleged that more than 10 candidates secured more than 100 marks in Group-I prelims which shows that the main culprits of leakages are in the TSPSC.

In order to boost the sagging morale of the students following the cancellation of TSPSC examinations following its leakages, the BSP state president visited Osmania University campus and interacted with the student community on Thursday evening. Stating that the students have launched French revolution and Telangana statehood movement, he said that the students have the power to topple the government.

Reiterating that the students have every right to protect the state from the robbers and cheaters, he said that the students have every right to protest for their legitimate rights to ensure free and fair conduct of recruitment process. Refuting the claims that the politicians should not come to the universities, he said that they were alumni of the universities and would definitely come to interact with their juniors. “We have not come here to provoke students or distribute weapons. We are here in the university to meet the students and enlighten them about the facts”, he maintained. He alleged that OU vice chancellor was also dictator like Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Alleging that all the TSPSC board members were close associates of the Chief Minister, he demanded the police to arrest TSPSC chairman B Janardhan Reddy, who is the main accused in the leakages. “How can the USA candidates come to India and write exams qualify and secure top marks in Group-I prelims if there is no role of TSPSC chairman in the leakage of question paper”, he questioned.

He said that the state government was protecting the TSPSC chairman as if he opens up the government would be in the soup and all the accused involved the case from the CMO would be exposed. He alleged that the government was trying to divert the leakages cases stating that it was hacking and honey trap.
