KARIMNAGAR: Former IPS officer and Bahujan Samaj Party Telangana state President Dr RS Praveen Kumar has demanded Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao should prove his sincerity by appointing Dalit as the Chief Minister of the Telangana as promised before unveiling the 125-foot statue of Dr BR Ambedkar in Hyderabad.
He also demanded that the Chief Minister should touch the statue of Dr Ambedkar only after appointing senior Dalit IAS officer Rani Kumudini as the Chief Secretary of the state. He said that there was no difference between Minister for Social Welfare Koppula Eshwar and the Chief Minister as both have won on five occasions.
On one hand, the Telangana government was resorting undemocratic acts against the Dalits, he said that Dalit woman Mariyamma was killed in police custody in Yadadri district and Dalits were resorted to third degree torture in Rajanna-Sircilla district for opposing illegal sand mining. He alleged that the government was harassing and resortign to atrocities against Dalits and on the other hand deceiving them in the name of Dr Ambedkar.
Dr Praveen Kumar was participating as chief guest at Malas political awareness programme in Karimnagar town on Monday (March 13, 2023). Speaking on the occasion, he demanded that the government should arrest MLC Kavitha for involvement in Delhi liquor scam. He charged that the state government was deceiving the unemployed youth in the name recruitment of 80,000 vacancies and resorting unethical leakages of question papers. He demanded that the government should disclose the persons involved in the leakages racket.
He alleged that the government was claiming as if they were filling up 8 lakh vacancies in the state through propaganda. He reminded that the government had issued employment notifications only in view of ensuing elections in the state and deceives the student community.
In the name of SCs categorization, the government was planning to siphon off Rs 3 lakh crores for the upper castes communities, he said that the Dalits would get only Rs 3,000 crore with categorization and the government would swindle Rs 3 lakh crores. He also found fault with the parties for stating that the BSP was Dalits party.
Reiterating that the BSP for the SC\STs\BCs and minorities, he said that they were not stating that the BRS belongs to the ‘Velama’ community, the Congress for the Reddys and the BJP for the Brahmin community. State coordinator Manda Prabhakar, state vice president Dayananda Rao, state coordinator Golla Satish, general secretary Nishani Ramchandram, state treasurer S Yellanna, district president N Srinivas, incharge Rajender, women’s wing leader Nagamani and others were also present.
