BJP demands authorities to hoist Tri-colour at monumental flag post in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR:  The Bharatiya Janata Party Karimnagar district unit leaders have staged a dharna at Telangana chowk near the monumental flag-post demanding the Municipal authorities to hoist the Tri-colour at the Telangana state’s second tallest monumental flag post on Thursday (June 16) evening.

Responding to a news item published in this website on Thursday, the BJP leaders led by General secretary Kallem Vasudeva Reddy, Mahila morcha president Choppari Jayashree and others assembled at Telangana chowk and flayed the Municipal authorities for insulting the National flag by not hoisting at the monumental flag post.

Stating that the Tri-colour should be fluttering 24×7 on the monumental flag post, they flayed the negligent attitude of the Municipal authorities for not hoisting the flag since last over a month. They flayed the authorities for not even hoisting the national flag on the Telangana formation day at the monumental flag post.

They demanded the MCK to hoist the national flag immediately and ensure that the flag was keep fluttering always and promote patriotic spirit in the town. The government had spent Rs 76 lakhs for the construction of monumental flag post in 2019 and insulting the national flag by not hoisting the tri-colour on the pole.
