Bandi Sanjay calls upon party leaders to conduct door to door campaign to educate people on development and welfare programmes of Modi govt
KARIMNAGAR, MAY 30, 2023: BJP Telangana state president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar called upon the party leaders and cadres to launch an extensive door-to-door campaign in the name of “Mahajan Sampark Abhiyan” on the development and welfare programmes implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi government at the Centre, besides the overall progress of the state in the last nine years.
Addressing the BJP leaders of Karimnagar parliamentary constituency at a hotel in Karimnagar town on Tuesday under the leadership of party convenor Boyinapalli Praveen Rao, the BJP state president said the previous United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government was marred with several scams such as 2-G spectrum and illegal coal mining. There used to be bomb blasts and unrest across the country, creating a fear psychosis of sorts among the people, he said.

“However, after Modi took over as the Prime Minister, he has been providing transparent, corruption-free and the most efficient administration in the country with complete law and order without any bomb explosions and violence,” he said.
Sanjay pointed out that during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Modi government had extended vaccine not only in India but also to nearly 50 countries to save the lives of the people. “That is precisely why the entire world, including Australian Prime Minister, praised Modi as the “boss” and Papua New Guinea prime minister had touched the feet of Modi for saving his nation from Covid-19,” he recalled.
He said during the Modi regime, there was construction of 74 new airports, expansion of road network by 53,000 km, introduction of as many as 20 world-class trains and 15 metro trains, establishment of 15 new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), including in Telangana; increase of medical seats by nearly 70,000 besides establishing seven new IITs and universities; setting up of liquid nano urea plant and modernisation of railway stations on international standards.
The Centre has restored Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) plant by spending Rs 6,338 crore so as to avoid scarcity of fertilizers to the farmers. Besides, the Centre is also supplying fertilizers to farmers at a huge subsidy,” he said. As a result of all these measures, India had reached No. 5 position, surpassing England, in the economic development. He also recalled how India had helped relocation of over 20,000 Indians from strife-torn areas like Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, Nepal and Sudan.
“Similarly, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Modi government had shifted back more than 2.97 crore Indians languishing in other countries,” he said, adding that it was a matter of pride that India was leading G-20 nations now under the leadership of Modi.
“Under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, which is much better than the previous Indira Awas Yojana, the Modi government has built over 3.5 crore houses. We made the construction of housing easier by introducing geo-tagging system,” he said.
Sanjay pointed out that the Modi government had constructed 11.72 toilets all over the country to uphold the self-respect of women, as promised by him in his speech from the ramparts of Red Fort. “Under Swachch Bharat Mission, he took up sanitation and cleanliness drive, even at the stinking railway tracks,” he said.
Under Jal Jeevan Mission, the Modi government had provided safe drinking water supply to 12 crore households. This prevented womenfolk from walking for five km to fetch drinking water.
Similarly, under Ujjwal Yojana, which is an innovative scheme, 9.60 lakh women were provided with free LPG connections. Under PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, more than 80 crore people were supplied with free ration every month. For those who had Jan Dhan Yojana accounts in banks, their pensions were directly credited to their accounts during the Covid-19 pandemic, he said.
Describing Ayushman Bharat scheme as the biggest healthcare scheme in the country, the BJP president said those who had been given cards under the scheme had got corporate hospital treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. “Many countries have been studying the scheme and wanting to implement the same for their people,” he said.
Sanjay further said nearly 9,300 types of various medicines were being supplied to the needy through Jan Aushadhi Centres. He called upon the party functionaries to take all these programmes to every door step under Mahajan Sampark Abhiyan in the next one month. Sanjay also held a meeting with Karimnagar district Mahila Morcha representatives and called upon them to propagate the achievements of the Modi government.
