Army soldier conferred with Doctorate in Tamil Nadu

 

RAJANNA-SIRCILLA:  A Junior Commissioned Officer of the Indian Army Dr Peruka Raju, hailing from Narsingapur village of Chandurthi mandal, was conferred with Doctorate by Asia Vedic Culture Research University on the occasion of the International achievements awards ceremony conducted at Husuru, Tamil Nadu recently.

Mr Raju of 28 Battalion the Madras Regiment,  who is presently working in MRC, Wellington, Nilgiris Hills as a JCO, was conferred with Doctorate for his writings in Telugu literature as a writer, poet and translator. He also launched an NGO called “My Gift” to help the villagers of the native village and also others from the district.

He had earlier received Phule Sahithi National Award-2022,  the International Mother Language Puraskar -2022, Pudami Rathna Sahithi Puraskar – 2022, Telangana Animutyam -2022 and Lifetime Achievement Award by various organisations in the Telugu-speaking states.

He attributed his success to the previous Commandants & present Centre Commandant Brig SK Yadav for his motivation & encouragement with incentives.   Unit Commanding Officer Col BS Bora,  Senior Officers and others congratulated on his achievement. He had dedicated this doctorate to patriotic “Thambi Jawans”.
