Another leopard trapped on the Tirumala hills

TIRUMALA, AUGUST 17, 2023: Yet again, another leopard was trapped in the cage set up by the Andhra Pradesh state forest officials at Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple on the Alipiri footpath route in the early hours of Thursday.

The wild animal was trapped in one of the cages near Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple. It was at the same place that a leopard had attacked the girl Lakshitha who was walking ahead of her parents on August 11 night. The wild cat had come to the same spot and walked into the trap.

Incidentally, this is the third leopard trapped within 50 days on the Tirumala hills in June last week, August 14 and on Thursday (August 17). After the killing of a girl by a leopard on August 11, the forest officials have set up three cages at different locations such as Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, Mokalimitya and 35th turning.
