Adilabad Collector participates in Bathukamma festivities

ADILABAD: Collector Sikta Patnaik along with district welfare officer Milka, CDPO Vanaja and others participated in the Bathukamma festivities on the premises of the Collector’s camp office in Adilabad town on Wednesday evening.
The Collector carried Bathukamma on her head and participated in the puja rituals of Goddess Gouramma along with other womenfolk. The womenfolk in their finery circled the Bathukamma singing songs and dancing around it.
On this occasion, the Collector appealed to the womenfolk to celebrate the festival adhering to the Covid norms of wearing facemasks and maintaining social distancing.
