Additional Collector inspects weekly Growth monitoring of children in Choppadandi
KARIMNAGAR: Additional Collector (local bodies) Garima Agarwal conducted the weekly Growth monitoring programme of the children in the age group of 0 to 6 years at the Municipal Office in Choppadandi mandal headquarters on Tuesday (September 27, 2022).
On this occasion, the Additional Collector educated the mothers on the importance of providing nutritious food to the children to check malnutrition. Informing pregnant women and lactating mothers of the need to consume nutritious food to stay healthy, she directed them to regularly undergo haemoglobin tests to check anaemia by consuming medicines supplied by the medical department.
With regard to seasonal diseases and dengue cases, she instructed the villagers to keep their surroundings clean and tidy. She also directed them to observe dry days in a week to check for mosquito menace. She also informed the womenfolk to encourage only normal deliveries in the government hospitals and avail of KCR kits.
Municipal chairperson G Neerajana, vice chairperson Vijayalaxmi, DWO K Sabitha, MEPMA PD Ravinder, DMHO Dr Zuveria, MRO Rajitha, ICDS supervisor Rama, CDPO Kasturi, Poshan Abhiyan district and block coordinators, Anganwadi teachers and others were also present.
