82-year-old files nomination from Jagtial for justice
JAGTIAL, NOVEMBER 07, 2023: In a shocking incident, an octogenarian has filed nomination her papers from Jagtial assembly segment as an independent candidate demanding the government to provide justice to her at her last stage of life in Jagtial town on Tuesday.
Sources said that a native of Kurikyala village of Gangadhara mandal, Cheeti Shyamala (82), who filed her nomination on Tuesday, is the wife of freedom fighter Cheeti Muralidhar Rao. She had not filed her nominations for political reasons, but for demanding justice as she was unable to live in her own home as her elder son had approached court against her demanding the property. She said that she was facing problems since people are not ready to rent a house to her because of her old age and urged the government to ensure that she get backs her house.
She clarified that she had not contested elections for any political reasons. But, to tell the society about the injustice being meted out to her. She urged the government machinery to help her get back her home and lead a peaceful life till her last breath.
