327 RTC employees and others donate blood in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR: Responding to the call given by TSRTC managing director VC Sajjanar to organise mass donation blood donation camps on the eve of World AIDS day, the TSRTC Karimnagar region was in the forefront to organise the voluntary blood donation camps in various parts of the integrated Karimnagar district on Tuesday.

A record number of 327 persons including 119 conductors, 44 drivers, 158 RTC other employees, 62 RTC associates and 103 passengers have come forward and donated blood for a noble cause of saving lives.  The camps were organised in association with the Indian Red Cross Society. RTC Karimnagar regional manager A Sridhar along with Red Cross society president P Kesava Reddy, secretary MLN Reddy, member Omkar and others.

On this occasion, Union Bank of India manager Narsinga Rao, AGM Radhakishan, HDFC bank manager  Karunakar have donated fruit juices and fruits to the blood donors. Karimnagar ACP T Srinivas Rao and Traffic Inspector Tirumal Goud handed over the fruits to the people who donated the blood.
