Record of Sorts: 10 deliveries at Government Area Hospital in Vemulawada on a single day
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MAY 19, 2023: The Government Area hospital in Vemulawada temple town has created a record of sorts by performing 10 successful deliveries on a single day on Thursday night.
The feat is remarkable for the hospital staff and gynaecology department. Among the 10 deliveries, six were normal and four through C-sections including six boys and four girls. Incidentally, the Area hospital has announced the distribution of cradles for the mother if she delivers a girl child through normal and first delivery.
Hospital superintendent Dr Regulapati Mahesh Rao said that they had announced the distribution of cradle-to-mothers to encourage normal deliveries in the government hospital. Dr Chaitanya, Dr Sudha, Dr Santosh Chary and Dr Jyothi, head nurse Stella, staff nurse Bhagyalaxmi Devarakonda, Arun Sai, Jyothi and others were also present.
