Lions charitable eye hospital to offer diabetic retinopathy treatment from July 6

 

KARIMNAGAR: The Lions Club of Karimnagar Dr Bhaskar Madhekar charitable eye hospital in Rekurthi on the outskirts of Karimnagar town has decided to launch the diabetic retinopathy treatment from July 6 onwards.

In a statement here on Wednesday (June 29), charitable hospital chairman Konda Venu Murthy said that hospital retina specialist Dr Mustyala Swetha would provide retina services on every Wednesday beginning from July 6, 2022 onwards at the hospital. They had decided to create awareness among diabetics about frequent changes in the retina affecting their vision without their knowledge in the initial stages.

They would also provide free IOL surgeries for white ration card holders on all Mondays and Tuesdays. He appealed to the people to approach the Lions charitable eye hospital for treatment of any eye-ailments.
