Digital Video Colposcope machine inaugurated at NTPC Dhanwantari hospital Ramagundam

PEDDAPALLI: NTPC Dhanwantri Hospital in association with Deepti Mahila Samithi inaugurated the “Digital Video Colposcope” machine to diagnose pre-cancerous lesions in a step ahead for improving the health services of female beneficiaries for achieving the mission of “Cervical cancer Mukt Bharat” by 2030.

President, Dakshin Deepanjali Mahila Samithi, and Mrs  Renuka Anand inaugurated the Colposcope machine along with  President, Deepti Mahila Samithi, and Mrs Usha Kumar. On this occasion, Mrs Renuka applauded and congratulated the hospital for this initiative and encouraged all the women to utilize the benefits of these services.

CMO NTPC Dhanwantri Hospital Dr IR Lahri addressed the gathering and shared technical details of the machine and other hospital achievements. Gynaecologist Dr Archana Jamwal (NTPC Dhanwantri Hospital) explained that cervical cancer is absolutely preventable cancer. Cervical cancer can be eliminated through vaccination & effective screening by Pap smear and colposcopic examination with this new machine.

Senior members Mrs Mamta Laad, Mrs Urja Desai (Vice President DMS), Mrs Padmasree (Incharge Welfare ), Mrs Manjula Reddy (Incharge Balbhavan) and other committee members were present on the occasion. HR representative Mr Srinivas, all Doctors & hospital staff were also present on the occasion. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs Azeemunisa.
