CP lauds the services Lions Club of Karimnagar charitable eye hospital in Rekurthi

CP inaugurates special rooms at the hospital and inspects the hospitals and services being provided for the treatment of various eye-ailments

He appreciates the Lions Club for their relentless services and campaign to eradicate blindness by organising camps

KARIMNAGAR, MAY 15, 2023: Commissioner of Police L Subbarayudu lauded the services of Lions Club of Karimnagar Dr Bhaskar Madekar Charitable eye hospital, Rekurthi, on the outskirts of Karimnagar town for rendering relentless services for the poorer sections of society and crusading against the eradication of blindness by organising various programmes.

The CP formally inaugurated the special rooms at the hospital for the benefit of patients on Monday. He inspected various wards and the services being provided by the charitable eye hospital including the use of the latest technologies. Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the dedicated services of the members of the Lions Club of Karimnagar, the doctors and the paramedical staff at the hospital.

Appreciating the hospital for conducting more than 1.6 lakh free cataract surgeries since its inception in the year 1988, he said that the hospital was conducting monthly 1200 surgeries. He said that the hospital had also won accolades for the conduct of glaucoma and stint eyes treatment. He said that the hospital was conducting free eye testing camps in government schools as part of the eradication of blindness.

He assured all assistance from the police department for the charitable eye hospital. Hospital chairman Konda Venu Murthy, vice chairman Chiduru Suresh, secretary Prakash Holla, trust board members Dr Muralidhar Rao, second deputy governor Simharaju Kodandaramulu, Peddi Vidyasagar, Methuku Satyam, Bodla Krishna, Burra Madhusudhan Reddy and others were also present.
