A mass baby shower for pregnant women conducted by Lions club
KARIMNAGAR: In a humane gesture, the Lions Clubs International District 320G has organized a ‘mass seemantham’ (baby shower) to 120 pregnant women at a posh function hall in Karimnagar town on Wednesday (December 21, 2022).
On this occasion, the Lions club members have presented gifts worth Rs 3,000 each to all the 120 pregnant women. The gift pack includes, a saree, blouse pieces, five varieties of fruits, nine varieties of sweets and savouries, kum kum, vermilion, scent, sandalwood, flower garland etc. The women and child welfare department and medical and health department officials participated in the programme.
Lions club international District 320G governor Rikkala Narayana Reddy, international former director Rumala Sunil Kumar, Lions international foundation area leader Gattamaneni Babu Rao, Multiple council chairman Vidyasagar Reddy, Telangana district governors and Lions clubs’ members, DMHO Dr Zuveria, incharge DWO Uma Rani, CDPO Saraswathi, coordinators and others were also present.
