Students organise food festival at Rishi, the Play School

 

KARIMNAGAR: Students of Rishi, the Play School, in Housing board colony in Karimnagar town, organised a food festival with the concept of ‘Eat healthy’ on December 3, 2022.

In the wake of students getting fascinated to the junk food, which was causing several health problems, the school management encouraged the students to organise food festival on home-made food of different parts of the country. A total of 300 varieties of dishes were on display at the Food festival and the students explained the nutrients and vitamins available in respective foods.

Local corporators Nethikunda Yadaiah and Mohammed Sharfuddin, school chairman Kamarapu Chennappa, Academic incharge Kamarapu Kaushal, Youth Congress Karimnagar president Abdul Rahman, social worker Mohammed Ameer and others participated in the festival and went round the stalls and interacted with students.

School chairman Chinnappa educated the students to discourage junk food as it was having serious ill-effects on health of children. He informed the students to eat only home-made healthy food. He also directed the students to accord priority to the games and sports along with education to stay healthy and fit. Teachers Rajitha, Nagalaxmi, Lavanya, Padmaja, Fatima and others were also present.
