SRR college conducts workshop on Robotics
KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 21, 2023: Department of Physics of SRR government arts and science college (autonomous), Karimnagar, conducted a workshop on Robotics in collaboration with Soham Academy on Tuesday.
On this occasion, they had demonstrated and elaborated on futuristic developments in robotics and embedded systems. The workshop explained on ‘Blinking SED’, ‘Button Control LED’, ‘Flowing SED’, Seven Segment Display, ‘Touch Sensor Controlled LED’, ‘Ultrasonic Distance Sensor’, and ‘Home Using Smart Phone’ by doing 21 types of robotics experiments like ‘Automation’ etc. The students also learned basic knowledge of robotics and sensors and the ability to use and analyse Arduino-board.
Speaking on the occasion, Soham Academy for Human Excellence Founder and Director Sahadev Komaragiri said that the physics laboratories in SRR College are excellent and it is a pleasure to see the students enthusiastically participating in the workshop. Basic understanding of robotics in schools and colleges around Karimnagar town with 30 talented students and conducting creative workshops on different processes through the use of the Arduino board is the future plan of the department.
Head department of Physics B Satyanarayana said that students will be encouraged to do projects with new ideas. Speaking about this workshop, Principal Kalvakunta Ramakrishna said that by organizing such a workshop, the students will be able to improve their usage, analysis and application skills in addition to the acquisition of knowledge in the textbooks. Soham Academy played an important role in this workshop and honored Sahadev Komaragiri, the managing head and workshop trainers Boravelli Jaswant and N Jaswant. Faculty of Department of Physics K Ram Chandram, S Krishna Prasad, V Kiran Kumar, M.A. Shukur and CH Narshimhulu and Vangala Srinivas, S Odelu Kumar participated in this workshop.
World Fisheries Day observed
Similarly, the department of Zooloy had organised World Fisheries Day. On this occasion, the speakers explained the significance of the sea, rivers and water bodies and sustainable development of the fish industry. They said that the fish production had increased from Rs 60,000 crore to Rs 80,000 crore in the country. They also empowered the students on ample scope for research and development in the fish industry because of huge demand for the fish products in the country and world. Principal K Ramakrishna, HoD P Raju, faculty K Surender Reddy, T Mahesh, B Suresh Kumar, Samatha, Sumalatha, Ravali Krishna and others were also present.
