Veteran actor Sharath Babu passed away in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD, MAY 22, 2023: Veteran actor Sarath Babu, who was undergoing treatment for multi-organ failure in a private hospital in Hyderabad, died on Monday. He was 71.
Several film personalities and others took to Twitter to share their condolences on the demise of the veteran actor. The family members are planning to shift his body to Chennai to perform his last rites on Tuesday.

He launched his film career as a hero in ‘Ramarajyam’ in the year 1973. Later in his second film, he acted as a villain. He acted in Telugu and Tamil films. He had won accolades for his prolific acting skills in all the roles he played. He had acted in over 250 films. His popular films including ‘Maro Charitra’, ‘Seethakoka Chiluka’, ’47 days’, Guppedu Manasu, ‘Sitara’, ‘Anveshana’, Sagara Sangamam, Swatimuthyam, Samsaram oka Chadarangam, Apathbandhavudu, Annaiah, Criminal and other films and acted in several TV serials.
He married another film actor Ramaprabha. But, they were separated following differences of opinion.
